  • What are the benefits of using Alliance Vehicle Rental instead of going directly to a rental company myself?

    Alliance has an established nationwide network of over 1,500 supported locations and has access to over 250,000 cars, light commercials and HGV’S. With such widespread coverage, Alliance is able to ensure availability and responsiveness whilst also keeping delivery and collection costs to a minimum, no matter where a vehicle is required. We have an extensive range of rental products to suit all requirements and budgets so we are confident we can get you the right vehicle at the right price to meet your needs.
    We have a team of experienced vehicle rental professionals who understand the nuances of daily rental and can source cars, commercials, prestige vehicles, 4x4s and specialist vehicles across the UK. You will be assigned a dedicated Account Manager and have access to our Customer Services team that are focussed on providing continual mobility for you and your drivers in all circumstances, whether you need help with last-minute reservations or to locate and deliver the more ‘unusual’ specialist vehicles that you may require from time to time we are on hand to help.
  • How can I rent a vehicle from Alliance?

    You will need to open a Corporate Daily Rental Account with us and have a valid Fleet Insurance certificate. Alternatively, we can provide insurance for your drivers at an additional cost. Please call the Customer Services team on 0844 414 2983 and we will arrange for a Business Development Manager to visit to discuss your options.

  • How old do I need to be to rent a vehicle?

    Most car groups are available to drivers aged between 25 and 75.

    Younger/older drivers may be allowed on standard vehicle groups – this is down to each individual branch’s discretion and additional charges will apply.

    In most cases Commercial vehicles, MPV’s and premium vehicles may only be driven by drivers over 30.

    Certain endorsements will prohibit drivers from being able to rent under CDW – for example where a driver may have been disqualified for drink driving / drug driving or driving without insurance.

  • Can I take a rental car abroad?

    If you wish to take a hire vehicle abroad please make the Customer Services team aware when placing your reservation. You may need to organise your own 5* European breakdown cover which must include UK repatriation. Additional charges will apply, please contact us for details.

  • What happens if I damage a vehicle whilst on rent?

    If you damage a vehicle whilst on rent with us, we take on the responsibility of managing the damage process; liaising between yourselves and the Suppliers through to conclusion.

  • Are there any add on (surprise) charges?

    No, all customers are given a comprehensive list of charges upon opening an account to ensure you get no nasty surprises.  Additionally our Customer Service team are always on hand to talk you through this list if required to ensure there are no grey areas.

  • How much does it cost to rent a car?

    The cost to rent a car varies upon the length of hire & size of vehicle. You can contact our customer service team on 0844 414 2983 to request more information or to book a visit from a business development manager.

  • Do I need my own business insurance to rent a car?

    Not necessarily.  Most companies have their own Fleet insurance but we can arrange insurance through our suppliers for an additional charge if required.

  • Do your vehicles come with breakdown cover?

    Yes breakdown cover is included in the price of the rental on all our vehicles.

  • What are your vehicle delivery timescales?

    2 hours from the booking being confirmed for a standard vehicle anywhere in mainland UK.
